What You Will Do
As a Lead Clinical Informaticist with us, you will analyze, manage and communicate health information through clinical information systems and applications. Through exploration and collaboration, you will engage in a rewarding career that’s driven by you and powered by Ascension.

Lead basic or moderately complex projects/activities on a semi-regular basis. Conduct analysis of clinical and organizational needs. Identify, design, and evaluate clinical information systems and applications.
Make recommendations to management on new processes, tools and techniques, or development of new products and services.
Make decisions regarding daily priorities for a work group; provide guidance to and/or assist staff on non-routine or escalated issues.
Participate in the development of organizational policies and initiatives related to collecting, managing, and communicating clinical information.
Ensure information systems policies, procedures and technologies comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Design and deliver training materials to educate users about information technologies.
Lead/facilitate work-groups charged with defining design options and making design recommendations.
Recruit clinicians for work groups and meet with clinicians for competency validation.
Prepare and communicate reports for leadership regarding the status of projects.
Participate in creating scenarios, test scripts and conducting user acceptance reviews.
What You Will Need
- High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.
- 1 year of experience required health care experience, information systems policies, procedures and technologies comply with applicable laws and regulations
- 4 years of healthcare/clinical experience preferred.
- 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
